What is a Script Window Component?

A Script Window Component allows you to add widgets or other embedded script-based content such as YouTube videos or social media feeds.

To get started with adding content to your Script Window Component, click the green “Edit” button to the right of your component. See "What are Page Components?" if you are unsure of the process up to this point.

Creating a Title for your Script Window

To create a title for your Script Window Component, use the arrow to the right of the blue “Component Header Options” to expand this area. Check the box to “Show Component Header” and place your title into the “Header Text” field then click the green “Save” button. This will place a bold title over your Script Window contents, on the public side of your page.

Adding your content

Prior to adding your content, you will need to obtain your “Script Text” which will typically be in the form of code (HTML, IFRAME, EMBED, SCRIPT). As an example, when embedding a YouTube video once you click on the “share” option, you will be able to select “Embed” as one of the share options.  Once you click on the embed option, you will get code that looks something like what you see in the image below.

Example of an iFrame embed code

Once you have your code, you will simply paste it into the “Script Text” field in your Script Window Component.

You also have the option to set a visibility or expiration date, if you like. Both fields are optional.

To finish up, simply click the green “Save” button.
