What is a Video Component?
You can add videos to your website with a Video Component. Once videos are added with the Video Component your video will be displayed on your website.
To get started with adding content to your Video Component, click on the green “Edit” button to the right of your Video Component. See "What Are Page Components?" if you are unsure of the process up to this point.
Creating a Title for your Video
To create a title for your Video, use the arrow to the right of the blue “Component Header Options” to reveal these options. Check the box to “Show Component Header” and place your title into the “Header Text” field then click the green “Save” button. This will place a bold title over your Video on the public side of your page.
Video components also have an alternate method of adding a slightly smaller title. To enter a title this way, simply place your title in the “Video Title” field.
Adding your Video
To get started with adding your video, click on the “Browse” button, select your file and click “Open.”
Once you have selected your video you will click the “Upload” button to add your video.
Once your video has finished uploading, you will be provided with optional display options. To use the default options, simply click the green “Save” button.
Choose a thumbnail
To choose your thumbnail still image, click on the blue “Change” button below your current video Thumbnail.
You can then use the scrollbar to move to different frames of your video and find your preferred image. Once you have chosen your thumbnail, click on the green “Save” button just below the image.
Choose your video display options
There are several display options to choose from, that are checkboxes at the bottom of the page. All these items are optional.
Autoplay – This option will allow your video to play without the user having to click the play button. Please note: This feature is blocked by some browsers or browser settings.
Hide Controls – This option hides the controls. Users would need to right click on the video to access these controls.
Loop – This allows the video to play on a loop.
Muted – This option will ensure that the video defaults to being muted, allowing the user to choose if they would like to unmute.
Download Link – This adds a download link that will allow users to download the video.
Embed Link – This adds a link that will allow users to access the video embed code.
Once you have made all your video display selections, click on the green “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
